Montreal, Quebec 15 March 2010 – Kirchner Private Capital Group (KPCG) today announced that Jean-Sébastien Lamoureux has joined the investment banking team of KPCG. KPCG is a North American company that provides asset management, investment banking and operational transition management services to the private capital industry. The investment banking team provides a variety of services to companies including advisory, assessments and mergers and acquisitions.

Jean-Sébastien Lamoureux has almost 10 years of transactional, venture capital and operational experience in both the public and private sector. He has served on the boards of many investment funds and served on the advisory committees of Teralys a 700M$ fund of funds and Cycle Capital, a cleantech fund.

Most recently, Jean-Sébastien was Vice-President at, Investissement Québec Subsidiaries for three and a half years. While there, he was in charge of venture capital initiatives for the Québec Government. Among those initiatives, he was responsible for the FIER Program. In addition, Jean-Sébastien was the General Manager of FIER Partenaires, L.P., a 180M$ fund of funds that supports the creation of investment development funds and the financing of development projects.

Jean-Sébastien holds a graduate degree in management from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal (HEC) and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Montréal. He is currently completing his MBA at HEC. He is also a member of the Barreau du Québec.
